Slipping Away

The trees are in spring again
May be this time around
You would set the trend
Every letter darn so wound
Over the lie that gained ground

Rub the dust away
The ashes of time will stay
Try knocking the door
All but hearts go sour
Time is but gone insane
There you go again

Falling like a czar
Sinking like a star
Trying to prevent
The condescending talk
Of who you want to be

Trying to bend the truth
Hoping to be good
Oh! it is not you

This is just not what
I wanted you to be
Seems the very
Best part of you is me

The slow mesmering
Hope hangs but by a string
Roped me in so
Hynotizing - am so captivated
I am so captivated
I just slip away

Against the current
I run - vindicated
Am so damn wrong
STAINED
Is what i feel
When I think of you

Deep Fancies
Paper thin THoughts
Fuming under the sun
I am FLAWED
But I am cleaning up so well

Dangling on the hope
Like slow spinning redemption
I slip away
I slip away-from MYSELF.
